  2. The steel encasement, magnifies the magnetic power, many times over. What this means is that a channel magnet’s pull strength can be 32 times another magnet of the same weight and time. Hence, they are widely used for mounting stuff
  3. They can support weights that are many times their size
  4. Since their magnetic power is amplified, manufacturers are able to conserve materials. The same material that may be used to manufacture a neodymium magnet that will have the same pull strength as a channel magnet, can be used to produce two channel magnets of very high magnetic pull strength.
